A C T   O N E   –   S C E N E   S I X
_____________________________________________________________________________________________

(All-Father)
while the Immortal Kings move into the temple,
leaving their sun-signs at the gate

The immortal ones
abandon him
who sees
the rank of kings
elsewhere,
than in
the own innermost
Self.

The own innermost,
which really is imperishable,
is not subject
to the law of annihilation.

If then one
does not reign,
he does,
though reigning,
not reign the reignable.

Though
the reigner
does not lose
his reign,
as this does not
vanish;

but there is no second,
other,
different
that he
could reign.

If there were
another,
one
would reign
the other.

But when everything
has changed
to the
innermost Self
by which
and whom
should it
reign then?

By which
should it
reign him,
by whom
it reigns all this?
By which
should it
reign
the reigner?

Thus
is
immortality.
